Well, my husband is away on business and the kids are staying at friends' houses tonight, so I decided to take some "mom time" and do something nice for myself.... so I stayed up extra late to watch a movie I've wanted to see for a while, August Rush. It's a story about a boy who is a musical prodigy that is searching for his real parents.... I'm not sure exactly what I expected from this movie, but it certainly exceeded all of my expectations.... it is about the power of music, and how it ultimately reunites three kindred souls as a family. I don't normally cry over movies, but I sobbed like a baby over this one.... If you believe in the power of music, you must see August Rush.

Oddly enough, that's what the after dinner movie was at the GF's place last night. At first I thought oh boy , a chick flick, and I'd have to sit it out if I wanted any "dessert."But it didn't take very long to get into the show, and it really is a good watch.I'm going to look into getting the soundtrack.

I saw it.

I went home and tried slapping my guitar neck, to see if that technique really works.

It doesn't. What a ridiculous concept.

Can't say I was too impressed with the movie though, sorry! ;)

Was shopping in Duluth and saw the movie at Sam's Club today for $11.99. I bought it. I will watch this one over and over again. Normally I don't buy movies, because if I see them once it is enough. But this one is different.... it touched my soul! :D

I look forward to watching this movie again with my whole family, but this time I will be prepared with a box of Kleenex, LOL!

I just watched it. Cried throughout the whole movie. Truly moving.

Is the story far fetched? Yeah, but so is Big ,Star Wars, and any other movie.

I believe music is a universal language that transcends all. It could probably solve the economic crunch as well as the rest of the world's problems if we just give it a listen.

Thanks for the reco Melissa
