Eric Clapton will return to the world-famous Royal Albert Hall for a multi-night stand in May 2009. The concerts will take place on 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, and 23 May. Tickets on sale to the general public from 27 October at 9AM local time. Check whereseric.com for additional on-sale information.

On 29 November 2007, Eric Clapton was Jeff Beck's surprise guest during Jeff's run of shows at Ronnie Scott's. Guests featured in the TV Special will be Eric Clapton, Joss Stone and Imogen Heap. This Friday evening - 24 October 2008 - highlights from these concerts will premiere on BBC Four at 21:00.

He must be doing a world tour, as he'll be in Australia in March.

I used to go every year to the RAH back in the early 90's when I still lived in the UK. Always great shows, regardless if it was either the blues, the orchestra or the new stuff.

One of those truth is stranger than fiction things occurred too...

Driving back through South London me and a friend stop to get something to eat in a greasy hamburger bar. While in line, my friend gives me a nudge and looks down. There, on the floor, is a crumpled 10 pound note. He puts his foot over it, and I bend down to tie up my shoe lace... Free eats for the boys tonight!

The next year we are again driving back from Clapton at the RAH, and again stop in at the same place. While in line, he nudges me and looks down....Yup, incredibly, there is another 10 pound note lying on the floor in front of us.
My shoe lace suddenly needs tying again, and we eat for free one more time....
