Never read a Kellerman novel, but obviously others have. Enough to afford him a rather unique vintage collection and his own book on it. Anyone seen this book? Anyone one know what model the middle guitar is in the picture is? Might be interesting (might not) to see this books and what this novelist/musician has rat-holed through the years. Any Ricks I wonder?

It is a John "Monteleone". I love his Art Deco styling.

Thanks for the info, Ken. I had to check them out. Not cheap. Starting price of, gulp, $10K. Wowzer.

Kellerman's collection is housed in a special wing of his house. The setting is lush, with special cabinets and lighting, lots of space around the instruments, and beautifully-detailed hardwood cabinetry everywhere. I wish I could lay my hands on the photo that I've got squirrelled away somewhere.

Be neat to post that photo, PW, if you can dig it up. Or I could go get the book. Your method sounds cheaper though.

You can find an article and photos of a few of his collection in this month's Premier Guitar:

You're welcome. Premier Guitar has fast become my favourite guitar magazine, and is now the only one I subscribe to. Nice McGuinn interview in this issue as well, which I know has been referenced elsewhere in this forum.
