I just picked up this old Colorsound Supa Fuzz Wah for a band mate of mine, and he asked me to make him a video to show what it sounds like (he's away at school for the next few weeks). Here she is:



In my experience, fuzz/wah pedals have been little more than noise machines, but this one actually was a great wah sound to it - sort of a "White Room" vibe. And of course, it also excels at the noise thing, which is what my buddy will be using it for.

I had an old Ibanez Fuzz-Wah that I picked up in Germany. It was pretty cool, the Wah sounded good and it had 2 footswtchable modes of fuzz. Both modes were completely grindy over the top, no hope for touch sensativity, walls of sonic bliss if you like that stuff. I wish I still had it.

I had Vox' version of this pedal. Like so:



...and it was not the best sounding or easiest to use. Plus, of course, no true bypass, so half your signal went away just having it in the chain. Plus lots of hiss, even when not being used. Good ideas on it though - stereo outs, and the pedal also doubled as a volume! I traded it for one of these, natch:



I'd get another one if it was cheap, though, and get it to one of them pedal gurus to work their magic.
