LOL, sorry, I couldn't resist...but I REALLY do love the song!
John, my list could be SO long, Peter would have to get more storage space for the forum! But, for the sake of all viewers, I'm feelin a bit melancholy, so my list reflects it.

The first one you've mentioned, John. It came into my head right after i've read the subject line. Funny, eh?
Then - this one.
Then there's lots of songs in Russian i'm very happy about. But that's another story.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for this song. When I hear it I feel like summer of 1968.

Man, I almost forgot about Donovan Kira,
I was about 7 when that one came out. I might still have the 45 RPM! I have each and every 45 I've ever owned from when I was a kid....time to dig through them again!
Great thread John!
Hmmm, did they have WIRELESS back in the 60's?

Yup. And the rest of us will be humming/whistling it for the rest of the day now.

Sheena, also interesting is your choice of the Dire Straits song - I listened to that one innumerable times when modifying CD players for my articles, and never tired of that song. Great choice.
Tony, as for IASWA, you are a dog!

Great songs, everyone. I am enjoying this thread. Keep up the great music links!
Great thread John, just goes to show that there are still lots of topics we can still discuss. It's amazing how just hearing a song can transport you back in time.
