Garret, that's a great-looking bass. I hope to find a lefty like that someday in Fireglo. After owning two '72s myself (still have one of them) I can say that they are one of my fave basses.

Thanks allot John.
I'm the second owner and have had it since 1982/83!
It's still my all-time favorite Bass.

Very nice, Garrett!. I'm assuming that 4001 has a pre-amp installed in it?

Yes, it has a custom pre-amp built and installed for me by a local, Corvallis OR, technician.
The original owner routed it for an Alembic Pre-Amp, which he removed before selling it to the music store I worked at when I was 21 years old. No one else had a shot at that bass.

I've officially removed the active electronics and I'm installing a new Rickenbacker harness with ROS Double Jack harness.
I have a new Finger Rest arriving from Pickguardian and as soon as it's installed and all is back togther It's going on ebay!

I installed a 1981 Rickenbacker 4001 wiring/ROS harness into it.
All that's lest is for the Finger Rest to finally arrive!
I may have lost a $1500.00 deal on a used Moog Mini Moog RME, potentially costing me $800.00 waiting on a $15.00 part, to put it on ebay!
