I am a HUGE Townshend fan. I don't think he plugged it in on the Smothers Brothers' show so I don't know what one sounds like. Good score, man! Hope you like it!

Here's a clip of the Chocolate Watch Band, a sort of wannabe Rolling Stones American garage Band, performing "Sitting There Standin'" and "Don't Need Your Lovin'" from the movieRiot On the sunset Strip, all equipped with Vox gear, which they actually used, so you can probably get a good idea:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RXP56gEPApk&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RXP56gEPApk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

Not unexpectedly, the 2005 Vintage Guitar price guide does not have that model listed. :(

Funny, as is the case with many "nuggets" bands, many of their songs are just rehashed versions of british stuff done a year or two beforehand. "Sitting There Standin" is almost note-for-note "Steeled Blues," a Jeff Beck era Yardbirds tune, which was...of course, based on American chicago blues.

PS....my old bandmate Alby is in the Chocolate Watchband these days, he plays guitar!

Cheers,
-Collin
