Humidifying your Ric

Does anyone on the Forum recommend/use in-case humidifiers for their Rics? Here in Ohio, during the winter months, the humidity in homes can reach dangerously low levels if one does not have whole-house humidification. I have acousitcs which I humidify religiously and have never had any cracking or other issues. I'm relatively new to electrics, and I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to place a humidifier in my Ric cases
Anyone?
Thanks---
Bob

Bob: Yes, the in case
Herco clay pot humidifiers work well. My preference is to keep my instruments in a room and keep it in the range of 35-40% relative humidity too.

I have the opposite situation, living on a boat. The humidity can get high in winter when the boat gets soaked and we're tracking in damp clothing. I save the little silica bags that come with electronics and throw them in the cases. Never known it to be a problem, but I do it anyway.
What is a problem is jumbo acoustics in low humidity. I had a beauty that split right open below the bridge one summer. Haven't had a problem with my electrics in arid climate.
