Reverse headstock question

There's a left handed 610/12 JG for sale on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0316066236

The serial number is L3 4072 which makes it from December of 1990. I thought that RIC started making left handed headstocks in 1988. My first Rick was a 335 FG LH which came with a left handed headstock in 1991. Does anybody know when RIC stopped putting reverse headstocks on left handed models?
Thanks.

I can't say for sure, it does seem like that's the basic time period when the lefty headstock started creeping in.

Thing is, I like this one!

That's the thing - Changes to Ricke never seem to have a definite start/stop date. They seem to transition over a (sometimes extended) period of time.

Another question where the photographic evidence built up by the Register would come in handy. Register your lefties.

Maybe an earlier build perhaps; The late 80's was the time when the mirror-image necks appeared...the basses around 1988 IIRC......guitars may have been phased in a little later...either way it is cool.

I have a 1981 620 FG LH and a 1982 320B LH which I converted to a 325 with a Bigsby and both are registered.
I was hoping that someone from RIC could chime in here and give some sort of definitive answer.

That's probably the best answer you're going to find. As I said, most Rick changes happen over a period of time, during which both cinfigurations can be found,

Brian: Thanks for your registrations but have you uploaded photos? The key is having those photos become part of the database so that a pattern can be seen with regard to features such as the headstock.

There is only one exception to this I can think of, but it is a pretty wild one at that---- I have seen a left-handed 4008 (yes, a 4008) from 1982 that was an LH model, Azureglo, and with a custom-made neck with a true left-handed headstock. It was on ebay a while back, and Peter Levett and I both tried to get it with no luck.
