That Orange has way too many knobs!

Cool art, though. :D

That seller/artist has ads for those prints on every Craigslist, as well as on eBay ... a bit of an overkill IMO. They don't appeal to me, but then again, this is the kind of 'art' I paint:
My 'artwork'
My 'artwork'

It's not a bass amp though.

I didn't know you were a painter, Gary. That's cool! Your art doesn't need quote marks. It looks genuinely well done, from what I can see. 8)

Gary your style of painting is much more to my liking too. But so as to not diss the other artist, there are plenty people who love that style of art and I am sure he makes a good living selling his paintings.

Aye, I meant no slight to the professional artist above either. My tastes are very eclectic and I feel it takes all styles to make the world go 'round. That's what keeps it innerestin' :)

The lovely painting done by our good Doctor is ART.

The stuff by David is "illustration"...akin to what used to be called "commercial art"..like ad stuff, stuff you see in magazines.

Oftentimes illustration crosses the line into fine art, but IMO, not this stuff...it's too self-conscious and affected.

I'm getting fed up with "retro", myself. The bandwagon is straining under the weight of the occupants.

Not my cup of tea either - but to each their own...

Neat to see the picture with the Rick, but I got tired of that style back when it was current.

But hey, whatever blows mud up your skirt...

Honestly I agree with the consensus, the illustrations aren't something I'd want to live with every day, but I can respect a fellow working artist; they're well done in their style.

I could definitely come up with wall space for Gary's painting, however, should the opportunity ever present itself.

Just curious, Gary, have you taken lessons?

I have not taken lessons, unless you call watching an oil painting program on PBS 'lessons'! :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Oil painting is just another one of my hobbies, and it's about time I get back to it. Hopefully, if/when this house-buying ordeal actually goes through, I'll be able to devote the space needed to be able to paint once again.
