Yesterday i was in Manchester on a computer course for work and during my dinner hour, went round looking for guitar shops to visit.Anyhow as i wandered down some street and found one of those Cash Converter type shops and saw this familier looking bass.It was a Cruiser by Crafter copy of a 4004 style bass, the same body shape as the 4004,but the neck had block inlays & the headstock was their own type.

All of this for only £79 if i had seen this before bonfire night, then maybe but otherwise an ugly looking bass.

Is this the one you mean?

I suppose the angular ends of the horns suggest a bit of influence, but it's pushing it a just bit to call it a Rickenbacker body shape.

I actually think it's a pretty good looking bass, it's good to see a budget brand doing its own thing & not just cloning Ps & Js. If I was just starting out that'd be a lot of bass for £79!

Jon.

I have to agree - That doesn't look anything like a Rick.

I would say that the horns were Rick inspired, but not exactly like one.
