Thanks, Scotty, for inspiring this idea:

We all know even the greatest artists have their off-moments. I thought it might be interesting to have a list of the least favorite songs from everyone's favorite stars.

I'll kick it off with "Forever Young", by Bob Dylan

and "Say Say Say" from Paul McCartney.

Any others I'm missing?

Interesting, Kira. It's not among my favorite Dylan songs, but I don't dislike it, and I feel like Dylan has *much* worse material than that! "Silvio" is one thatcomes to mind.

How about Ringo Starr- "Liverpool 8".

In all kindness to him, I'm not sure I would think of Ringo among the "greats", as much as among the "loveables" (until recently, that is)

This is all subjective fun of course.

And I would be inclined to agree with you Kira.

Okay, how about Led Zeppelin - "Fool in the Rain". Never liked the song and hated the sloppy guitar solo with that awful sub-octave effect.

Any artist that was involved with the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie.

The Hollies' B-side song, Water On The Brain ... "... this drip is driving me mad ..."!

As stated before this is all subjective to ones taste, but I'm tossing The Who in there (who is one of my very favorite bands) for "you better you bet".

I like 'You Better You Bet'...you can pick a LOT worse from the Who's catalog - how about the entire Tommy album except for Pinball Wizard?

I grew up on Tommy! There may some weak moments in it but overall, it is a great album. Perhaps it may be age/era related that you don't like it.

Looking forward to discussing the merits of this wonderful rock opera with you and JB at MARF.

I think different music speaks to different people in different ways. That's part of what makes it so great! Personally, I love the Tommy album (or albums if you will...I still listen to vinyl!), pretty much every song on it. "You Better You bet" didn't do it for me. I do, however, like "Eminence Front" as an example of a later Who song.

How about the Beatles' "Run For Your Life"?

I honestly think that the Beatles had much worse than that one. That one at least has a garage band sensibility to it. What about some of the overproduced material of the later years?
