Who's up for a So Cal minicon Tues 11/25?

For all of my fellow So. Cal. forumites:
Trotty's coming into town after MARF and would like to get together for a jam session in the O.C. area on Tuesday afternoon evening. I was thinking we could rent out 4 hours of a showcase room at one of the local rehearsal studios, which would come fully equipped, and we could split the cost among attendees. If we went with a full amp/drum hookup, and had it professionally videotaped etc, it's about $35/hr at Bomb Shelter Studios. There are other close by studio options as well, competitively priced. $35x4=$140. If we can get ten people to participate, it will be a night of fun revelry for a mere $14 apiece.
PM me, eh? Time is short and I'll want to reserve the room ASAP!!

Hey Paolo !
What time do you envision starting ??
Any chance for very late afternoon-early evening (like 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM) to accomodate those with day jobs or who enjoy "short" commute distances on the 405 ?
BombShetler has a pretty nice Showcase studio... good choice.
Regards - Rich F.

Of course; I want to accomodate all those who can make it as best as I can. 5PM might be too early if you have to commute from your place Rich, but I'm definitely flexible; we just have to get all of the interested parties together ASAP, pick the time, and I'll book it. I'm sure the diehards will want to go out afterwards anyway.
Sorry Aitch. It would be great if you could be there as well.
Okay, update: I should have said that Trotty will be around in the afternoon, but we were probably looking to the EVENING for the jam session at Bomb Shelter. That's EVENING. I know everyone works...at least if they're lucky enough to be able to right now!

Sounds good on the timing aspects....
count me in...

By the way, is this the occasion where we are all supposed to bring ourTurquoise Rics for a picture -- or is this the gathering of the Herd of Cats -- I am confused !

Could be both!!
I think I'm going to be the first plonka and announce a date switch. Darren was free Tues evening, but now it looks like he's booked. Let me double check to see when he's available. Maybe the next day, Wednesday? Don't quote me yet though.

What's the chances of doing a combined jam session and Claim Jumper dinner, either before or after the jam, on Wednesday 26 Nov?

Depends on what time people can get out of work, I guess.

If we do a jam at Bomb Shelter or Backline on Wednesday, dinner might have to be at Spires, which is down the street from those studios.
