Alas ive two little monsters now!

Set the Yorkies loose on the monsters. They'll keep each other out of your hair for hours.

Buy two Yorkies and a partridge in a pear tree Scotty. Then you'll be set. You can get the rest of the menagerie, lairds, servants etc as time and circumstances permit.
