Folsom Prison Blues Revisited

I am looking for your recommendations with regard to a more uptempo, rocking version of Folsom Prison Blues. I like the original just fine but have a need for a presenting this song to an audience that might find it somewhat bland. Do you have a favourite cover of this classic by Johnny Cash?

This may be interesting. It definitely has a more contemporary feeling to it, from what I could tell from a short sample.

I was looking for a Charlatans version but no luck.

I don't have sound at work, but I'm guessing that Rev Horton Heat add a little gusto to this song.

Thanks Greg. It is certainly interesting how the presentation can change dramatically without increasing the tempo of this song. Rev. Horton Heat did turn it up a notch, though.

Here's a cool version. I have no idea who these guys are, but they certainly have fun with this one.

This one is a blues version instead of a rocking version.

Just be sure to have the bass done on 12 string bass if you want to scare the bejeebers out of someone.

Worth every look on a few faces.

Been there, done that!
