Meet the new truss rod nut (same as the old truss rod nut?)

Guess I still have the MARF afterparty jam on the brain...
Anyway, I've got a '60 Rick guitar here which I would like to adjust (neck is slightly bowed), but it is lacking a nut:

Do I have to find an old one, or will the new ones work? Really want to get this guitar into good playing condition.

I'm surpised the neck isn't severely bowed on this one, with no rod tension on it.

Nope, it's very playable, it just could be a lot better.

Not too surprising. I've seen a Rick
bass that played perfectly well with no nuts on the truss rods--for almost two years...

Yeah, not surprised either - my '04 4003 with thicker neck (commonly referred to the as baseball bat) with the NOS Rickenbacker (Maxima) flats on it barely have any tension on them - just enough to keep the rods from rattling.

hmmmm.....would this '60 Rick guitar feature an "F" after it's respective model number?
