Is RIC even making these right now? They haven't shipped out in a long time.

Models get made in various progressions, I think. It doesn't mean they aren't currently in the stage of making the C '63's. It may just mean none are ready to be shipped yet.

I tried telling you that it would be a long wait, Adam - Despite what your dealer may have told you. I'm at 29+ months waiting for mine to come in. Nothing to do but wait.

Yeah I knew that it would be a long wait, but the store told me, "It'll be in in November." It didn't come and they said "It'll be here in May." It didn't come and I called them and they said "It'll be here in December or January. The only reason I asked was because the store keeps making promises that they can't live up to and it's really starting to get on my nerves. No the wait

Adam, your dealer has no idea as to when the guitar will ship. It blows me away that RIC dealers still give approximate delivery dates, All I know is that your guitar better not ship before my bass or mandolin. :)

When a dealer gives an estimated delivery date for a Rickenbacker, all he has to base it on is how long his past orders have taken to show up. No Rick dealer gets any projected delivery dates from RIC - ever.

What's the difference between the 360/12C63 and the 360V64/12? Other than the pickups, which can easily be switched out, I can't really really see any major difference.

You won't see a difference. The c63 has a 7 1/4" crown radius, while the v64 has either a 10" or 12" crown radius. The c63 has period correct bracing internally.

Headstock shape, pickguard shape, body shape, spray pattern on the fireglo. In my eyes, those are big differences, but to some they aren't.

Although I miss subtle bass things like two-piece pickguards (kidding...I think), I can spot a crown radius difference, as long as I'm within a foot or three of the guitar, and once I'm holding the instrument in question, I can tell immediately. I don't think I'm alone in this perception, either.

Ok, I'm curious as to whether RIC is making the 360/12c63 any more. I've been watching the recently shipped list and none have shipped out in about 6 months. Are they still making them or should I go after another one?

They haven't been discontinued. There are others here who have one on order, and have been waiting longer than 6 months.

There's one on NYC cragslist for $1800, sent an email last night but haven't heard back.

I'm nearing the two year mark here, but I put a deposit on it 6 months after the store ordered it. So if I ordered it when the store did, that would make me approaching the 30 month mark. Whew!

I can tell as well. It's quite a visible difference.
