I have business cards from guys in Hong Kong who I used to deal with in the toy industry.

One's name was "I. O. Yoo", and the other's was "Jetson Wang". Nice guys who understood the humor.

We used to laugh over a customer's name at an old job. The customer in question: Mr. Harry Hole.

Maybe they know each other.

In 1986, I bought a house in Virginia from a guy named "H. Balls". He insisted that we call him "Aitch".

Of, course, when the paperwork came through, his name turned out to be "Harry".

And, what parents are brain-dead enough to name their kid, "Jack Abramoff"?

When I was in Basic Training in the Army, the guy after me had the last name of "White". Everytime roll was called, which was a few times a day, they would say "Snow", "White" and then chuckle for a second. Not to spread any bad will, but I sure was happy when he was sent home after 2 weeks.

After Basic, I went to my AIT school, and there was a guy there with the last name of "Dick". I really haven't felt so bad about my last name since.

We used to have a bank account at the Barclays Bank branch in Ramsbottom, Lancashire. His family probably came from there.

We had a customer register his guitar for warranty some years ago. His name? Lon Dong Suk.

My music teacher at high school was Mike Hunt. And yes, he preferred being called Mike.

But even better than that was a fellow classmate - Russell Sprout. It still makes me laugh.

Speaking of odd/unfortunate last names, I remember my mother telling me about a family she knew that had the last name of "Outhouse". When, at my Grandfather's funeral, a man came up and introduced himself as "John Outhouse", it was really hard to keep from laughing...

I have a friend named Justin Case, as he was named after his maternal grandfather.

I also have a cousin whose initials are SOB.
