When The Byrds first hit the music scene back in the 60s some pundits felt their early releases were Searchers influenced.

I myself though a massive of The Searchers remain unconvinced, however many years later Roger McQuinn did acknowledge that the "jangly" guitar sound of the Searchers did influence them a bit.

So to quote a Byrds album here is The Searchers today performing Mr Tambourine Man

Roy: What a great version of Mr. Tambourine Man with a Searchers' touch. Thanks for the link. The arrangement is also interesting a allows for a longer version. A slightly different variation of the classic 12 string riff also adds to the performance.
