Blues on a 360/12

I was flipping through the channels today and spied a familiar shape...someone was playing blues leads on an ancient 360/12MG...I guess it only had six strings on it. It was an older 21-fret model with sparkley FWIs and what looked like EMG pickups. Even weirder was the identical backup guitar in Jetglo.
I guess I just thought it strange that someone would go out and get two '60s 12-strings and set them up for blues...
Sounded good though.
Anyone else catch this?! I think it was a DC-area station.
