Just when I thought that Santa had given me the bum's rush this year, look what showed up by and by:
She's got
that neck; you know the one. That sixties' narrow nut and slim profile to die for

Nice, Kira!

Are you going to satinize the finish (as opposed to sanitize

) on this one, too?

oh, no, I won't change a thing! This is not one of my sacrificial guitars. Slap me if I talk about any dumb mods, OK? I would just like to find correct tuners and bridge for her, as the rest is good to go.

Glossy old finishes don't bother me, just the new polyester frozen snot ones.
Howard, we'll have to A - B her with your new Gibson one of these days

Very nice 335 there, I'm sure some fellow forumites can sort out original parts for you. Scratch x worked great on cleaning up the scratches on my Les Paul pickguard, as well as the haziness on parts of the guitar. Zymol put a real nice shine on her too. Enjoy!

The knobs look like later replacements, too, as they don't match the ones on my 1967 ES-335TDC (recall that I bought mine in 1969 from the original owner through a consignment shop):

If it has the neck I think it does, it's a sweetie! Congrats, Kira!

Thanks, Gary, you're right. I'll have to put new knobs on the list.
This is the nicest neck (for my fit) I've ever played.

I'm not worthy.

I have to fix the jack before I can know exactly what she sounds like, but so far the licks coming out her have been pure Kira

It's funny how the choice of instruments affects one's style.

I'm still in shock

Wow! Congrats. I do know that neck, I had a '66 ES345, bought new, way "back in the day". I added a Bigsby to mine, just for the "cool factor" and both George and John had one. lol.
Enjoy it!

Thanks, guys.
Well she's not without issues, as they say. The back has a couple of areas that are less than pretty, and the head's been broken off and mended. But it's nothing that a few well-spent resident-luthier dollars can't sort out whenever I get inspired to really make her the best.
That neck, especially the first four frets worth, just melts in my hand
