Lennon Capri V81 mod question

I know-----this is a pretty "nit-picky" question but-----Does anyone know with certainty which length of switch tip JL used on V81 during the Sullivan appearance? I know the guitar originally had a short white tip and that he changed it to black when the guitar was painted black---was it a short black tip or the longer variety as found on the 325V59 for instance?

Looks like the short type to me...can't be much taller than the knobs in the second photo.
