Me either. Nice wood on the top. Kind of scary lines on the back of the bass neck, are they just scratches, or cracks?

Looks like cracks in the wood or finish to me...maybe both! Strange grain direction for a guitar neck though.
You'd think it would be going moreso with the direction of the neck.
