I don't know who these guys are and not sure where they're from, NYC, possibly. And purists may shy bricks, but even though they mess up the words, they look like they're having fun anyway. Not a bad band, IMHO. (I prefer crude vigor to polished banality.)
...and a Rick 360/12 string, too.

My son showed me these guys awhile back. They're called Yellow Matter Custard. The drummer, Mike Portnoy, plays with the band Dream Theater and has several "tribute" acts that he's put together with other "notable" friends of his. This is his Beatles trib outfit.
Indeed! ..... pretty cool what you can do when you have REAL talent, eh?...... {sigh}
Should have said, "Paul, you've improved!"
I believe this song was the first time we heard the Casino on a Beatles tune - played by Paul.

my kinda band. FUN .... would LOVE to have been there. These guys have just the right combination of (a) being faithful to the song and the Fabs themselves, and (b) not getting carried away with trying to "be" the Beatles, and (c) not getting so hung up on the legend of it all that it prevents you from having fun and doing your own thing.
Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.......on the other hand, its a bit depressing because it reminds me that I simply dont have that kind of musical talent..... sigh

A great band having a lot of fun.
Paul Gilbert must be a Beatles freak. Here's his version of one of my favourite Beatles songs.
