'66 Rick stock with Fender pots?

Is there any reason to believe that my '66 365 came stock with Fender-style split-shaft volume pots, and solid shaft tone pots? The mix & match seems weird, but I'm looking at it right now, and from the dimples left in the masking tape on the underside of the pickguard they appear to have never been touched. Also, they all have the exact same lettering on the backs and the same patina.

My '66 330 has the same mix of split-shaft, solid shaft pots. The volume knobs are a little bit higher off the guitar as a result. When I first noticed it, I wondered if it was that way to make the bottom row volume controls easier to get to quickly. Over-analysis, I'm sure!

I wonder why they're like that, seems silly. What month is yours? Mine's April '66

Interesting...my '64 460 has that same mix of pots, with the volume pots a little higher off the pickguard as a result (and the two chrome top disks AWOL, from being popped off by the longer shaft). I always thought these pots must have replaced the originals at some point.

That's what I thought, except the pots are identical except for the shafts.
