There is a rumor that RM will be appearing in Chicago in April or May at the Old Town School of Folk Music. Old Town says it's one show only and tix are already gone. (Old folkies never die, nor do they fade away). Does anyone know anything about this? Would someone please give me the RM website info, so I can look there.
Thanks,
Janglyman

Found it on the RM website. Sorry to take up time and space. Won't happen again.

Holy cow!

It doesn't cost near that much to attend the National Flatpicking Championship!

For 750 bucks, McGuinn would have to come out to my house and paint a few rooms or fix the alternator on my van....

From a quick run-through of the festival itinerary, it appears that Roger will deliver the keynote address and receive a lifetime achievement award. There's no mention of him performing that I can see.
The whole thing appears to be about workshops and networking if you're in the music industry. Not much of a performance showcase. The term "festival" is being applied broadly, I think. Seems more like a conference than a festival.

Memphis Blue,
RM might fix that alternator, but it'll be solar powered
