The acoustic guitar that you hear is my Ric Comstock, and in the opening bars I'm playing it through a Danelectro Cool Cat chorus pedal. That's me on vocals, and Forumite Steve Carsello played 4001 bass and chimed in with a 330--which took on a decidedly rockin' tone by the second chorus. He also added a layer of Gibson SG for some extra tasty crunch.... This collaboration was done completely via email and telephone, and began with my sending Steve a CD of my original version of the song, along with another copy of the same song without my own bass line. I am well pleased with how this song turned out, as Steve adds a real coolness factor that I coudn't have done on my own!
Ooops....for some reason my link doesn't work here, although I tested it on my end before I posted--that was weird! Thanks for the fix, CJJ!

You can say whatever you want....
I thought it was fun to see how it all came together within just a few days' time. You "rok," Steve!

You guys rock indeed, and it sounds like you had a lot of fun doing it. I've been pondering this telecollaboration idea a bit and now you two have convinced me that it can be fruitful. You've successfully highlighted both your talents in a really solid classic songstyle. My beret's off to you guys

Thanks for the warm vibes.... You all are taking some of the chill out of a Minnesota winter day!
School here was canceled today due to severe cold...in Minnesota that doesn't happen too often!

Just got back a few days ago from a vacation at least a thousand miles away to the south of here, and while there we paid a visit to my friend and co-collaborator Steve.... had a great time hanging out at his place and playing his guitars. I knew we couldn't leave his place without trying to catch our song on video. Although for some strange reason our laptop camera recorded us in mirror-image, so it looks like we're playing leftys! I think this turned out pretty well, considering that the hour was late and we had had a bit much to drink and did not really take the time to properly rehearse.... LOL!
Thanks for sharing, guys! Love to see these little get-togethers among the brothers and sisters.
That's a sweet Guild, too, just like an F212 I used to own years ago. Ah, why did I ever sell it? I'm kicking myself now

Why is it so out of sync? We are left handed and playing the wrong chords at all times !

I don't know, Steve.... it must be one of the quirks of recording videos on the laptop--I don't think the quality is as precise as the videos I've made using the Sony digital camera, but the one good thing about it is that the laptop video records in a format that loads onto YouTube a whole lot faster. This video only took about a minute to load, whereas the videos I've shot with the camera have taken up to two hours! So I guess it's a sort of trade-off, sacrificing quality for speed.... Anyway, it was fun.... Thanks again Steve, for a great evening!
And yes, that jumbo Guild 12-string was an awesome guitar to play....

We're backwards and out-of-sync, but at least we're not inside out or upside down!
Or are we?
Hmmm....reminds me of a song, and gives me an idea....
