...and since when?
I want to know how long it's taking to get one of those.
And yes, I have one on order (a lefty).
Thanks,
Ivan

A plus in your favor for your lefty - back on Oct. 16, 2008 JH stated this concerning CNC programming: "... and are just finalizing the last of the latest generation - including lefties for all. ..." So they are probably able to cut the lefty bodies with CNC by now. It all comes down to having enough lefty orders to make a production run and scheduling it.

I would be happy if they delivered the bass this year. It's been 2.5 years already, and I am starting to dream
way too often with the bass!

When I ordered it, they said 3years +. This was about 4 months ago.
I should also ask... which colors did they offer the 4001c64 in, and which colors of those were the most rare?

In the "catalog," the C64 is available only in Mapleglo and Fireglo, but we have seen a few in Jetglo. The C64S (with the "sanded" upper and lower body horns) supposedly is available only in a natural semimatte finish, but there has been at least one seen in Fireglo (glossy) and a few in Jetglo (glossy). Haven't seen any other colors.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.
How much time will I wait for mine? What's your guess? Do you think I'll get it by June 2009 (in 3 years, so)? Later? Sooner?

My 4001c64s is in glossy Fireglo...I´ve bought this bass second hand...its wonderful...too bad the previous owner has changed the bridge pick up to a high gain instead of the the reissue horse shoe...OK it could have left RIC whit a high gain in the bridge but I doubt it.
Anyway I love this bass and it sounds great so...If I get the chance to buy a reissue horse shoe for a decent price I´ll buy one...but the last one i was offered to buy the seller wanted 750USD for...no way I pay that for a pick up...Insane IMO.
And now I also tend to like the WINGS era vibe the bass has...but I have never seen any other 4001c64s in glossy fire glo apart from my bass...just some very few jet glo basses and of course the regular standard maple glo ones.
Best Frank.

Yeah, I love the look of this bass. Even the reversed headstock is cool, IMO.
