Hi all!
I finally have some mp3s linked to the soundclick site..

"Ode to Tony" Is a bass solo dedicated to a departed friend. It features the full range of the Rm 1999.

"The woman's dream" Comes off my first album "Living in a Clock". The woman's dream is music for one of those dreams that chop and change, go from romance to horror, joy to sadness. you get the picture...
No Rickenbacker on this one, but it features:
"Hannibal" my 8 string bass, Ovation classical (long gone), Moreno flamenco, Danelectro baritone (gone too), PRS (still got that one), Roland Rhodes piano, Korg ES-50 lambda, Boss Dr-550, Some general midi stuff and an alarm clock!
I recorded it in one afternoon, I love it when they almost write themselves..

If you want to hear more just let me know!

Good stuff, Eden. Nice Celtic feel to The woman's dream.

Really great, Eden.

I don't know much about prog but you play that bass really well on the first one. Production values are stellar on both, just excellent. Thanks for those :D

Um, yes! Along with Tull, Al Stewart, Jarre, Renaissance, etc and a lot of traditional celtic and scots stuff (I'm sort of 2/3 scots).

Wow... very cool, Eden. I almost started clapping when it was done. Great playing. I love compositions that show off the chordal qualities of the bass like this. GREAT choice of bass to highlight, too. I see that this is a fourth RM coming from 'Stralia. There's also Gerry Fergusson's, Darren Trott's and mine, which I bought from Gerry. I suspect that a handful of these basses were shipped directly to a music store in OZ back in the day. What's your serial? Mine and Darren's are just three digits apart. DH-153 & DH-156.

Eden,

I was going to PM this to you, but I thought it may be of interest to others...

I notice on your soundclick pages that the copyright section is filled in as "I guess so".

Just to put your mind at rest, if you record (in the broad sense) something that you have written/created, you gain copyright protection under Australian law automatically, and due to various intellectual property treaties, that protection extends to a large number of other countries (including the US). You don't have to register the work with anyone or jump over any bars other than the work being yours (and not copied or plagiarised) and being recorded.

There's a very informative summary here: http://www.copyright.org.au/information ... ntro-4.htm
