updated to a youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrTGm_oVtNo

Some may already know this but I just discovered it last night. People have managed to pull the multitracks from those Guitar Hero/Rock Band games and they are out there for download although at your own risk I guess. All of Moving Pictures is available along with Closer to the Heart and Working Man and you can hear the bass in all it's soloed glory.

The bass on "Closer to the Heart" is just beautiful. Red Barchetta was a little disappointing though, it's always been my favorite Rush bass sound but doesn't sound quite as good solo. I uploaded a section of just bass/drums with a bit of vocals and guitars brought up in the mix occasionally to show the section of the song.

VIRUS WARNING!!!

Going to the link listed above and downloading the file appears to download a virus onto your computer.

It is a backdoor type virus: Tidserv.inf

Luckily I've got good virus protection. If not, you should probably stay away...

Edit: I'm NOT blaming the poster for this, just reporting what happened. This was with Firefox V3.0.5.

hmmm, it shouldn't have a virus, I just scanned it to be sure and it's only an mp3 that I exported just a while ago but I will remove it and edit my previous post! Maybe it's the site itself. Sorry!

More than likely it was the site itself. Malware is distributed in some surprising ways these days but I am not aware of any way to embed it in an mp3.

Sites like Facebook and MySpace are RIFE with stuff that can hurt you but the are far from the only ones. The SANS Institute reported that about 85% of the popular sites they tested were somehow infected. The threats are mostly scripts that take advantage of the fact that IE is basically a revolving door to your file system. Binaries are planted and executed without your knowledge. Suddenly your machine is part of a botnet and/or telling people your credit card numbers or passwords. The best advice it to keep your OS up to date, use and maintain GOOD antivirus software, use a malware checker like SpyBot regularly, and avoid using IE as much as possible. The Internet is a bad neighborhood these days.....

I'm putting it on youtube now, just had to figure out how to put an mp3 in a video. Wouldn't you know the first time I try to use one of those file download sites and it's a bad one.
