On the morning of the 221st celebration of settlement in Australia, i wish my fellow countrymen a relaxing and enjoyable day off!
My youngest daughter, Kylie, born in 1988, is known as a bicentennial baby and celebrates her 21st birthday this year.
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.....Oi, Oi, Oi.

Gregga41.......Toasting you and your mates in the wondrous, historical Land of Oz. Congratulations and, oh, I guess I don't need to advise you how to celebrate. Believe you folks wrote the book on that one. Been there, done that, and came away duly impressed! Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

A toast to all of you on 221!! I'll celebrate as well. Like I need an excuse. I can hoist a couple for a great-great uncle who spent some time in a penal colony in Oz. My family doesn't talk about him much

Just finished barbecuing the snags and onions with my assitant chef, a bottle of Tasmania's finest ale. The table's set, and the family is waiting...What more can one want from life?
Happy Australia Day one and all!!!

We celebrated Australia Day by heading south to visit Cape Shank lighthouse.
In many years gone by this lighthouse was the first sign of land once the shores of England were left behind. It's still operational today and the the old lighthouse quarters (c1856) are available for hire. We got to climb the spiral staircase and see the inner workings, not to mention the awesome views of Bass Strait (which separates the Australian mainland from Tasmania).
Happy Australia Day to my fellow Aussies!

But everyone else seems to like the program. Happy YOU Day, all you Aussies!
