just when i was about to get my '64 4001 Delux back from the shop, my Luthier informed me the volume pots which were dicey - have *******-out. fiber plate is split on one, a loose lug on another.

is there anyone out there that would be able to repair such a part?

I don't even know if that's possible.

Replacement is the only option if the fiberboard is cracked.

If you want to keep the vintage correct, you'll have to find proper replacements or a set of the same type and swap the case backs--not for the faint-hearted.

Hey Mark, wints may have some 64 pots better to carefully swap only pots and leave all else intact. There is a guy with NOS 64 pots; I will check with him if he still has any problem is he gets $150 each

I cut this out of Vinnie Gallo's "wanted" thread.......mayhap you are in luck.
