Yeah, our local morning TV talk show "Good Day L.A." commemorated the event this morning and played a few snippets of Paul and John rocking on "Get Back".

I keep seeing/hearing people use that word, but I don't think anyone knows what it means....

Nick: Surely someone knows the meaning of infamous and as such your statement may need further clarification.

To begin, not everyone who heard the Roof Top performance found it to be a pleasant experience and many neighbours may have had their fill of The Beatles in those days. Hence infamous.

Moreover, acceptable synonyms for infamous may include the following from dictionary.com
Synonyms: abominable, atrocious, base, caitiff, contemptible, corrupt, degenerate, despicable, detestable, disgraceful, dishonorable, disreputable, egregious, evil, flagitious, foul, hateful, heinous, ignominious, ill-famed, iniquitous, loathsome, miscreant, monstrous, nefarious, notorious, odious, offensive, opprobrious, outrageous, perverse, questionable, rotten, scandalous, scurvy, shady, shocking, sorry, unhealthy, vicious, vile, villainous, wicked

Notes: famous means widely known, renowned, and esteemed while infamous means having an exceedingly bad reputation, notorious
Sometimes, the reader may not appreciate fully the context within which the poster makes his or her comments. As such I would be inclined to be more sensitive and to cut posters some slack.

The rooftop "gig" will always be one to remember. It's a shame the Beatles didn't do any more songs during that time, but chose to do different versions of what they were playing.

The rooftop "looms large in my legend." I've been to London twice in the past two years. Both times, I've stood on the sidewalk in front of 3 Savile Row,
trying to explain to beloved but somewhat clueless family members what happened "up there..." and what it means to me to standing "here." :D
