Any fans shed some light on this...

I thought he was always a P bass guy ? Occasional J bass?
At any rate that Ric is really cutting through in a good way .
Not that I disliked his tone w/ other basses, but that double Ric
assault really compliments their early style.

Ever since repurchasing murmur (this time the 2 disc reissue; very recommended), I've been
stuck in early R.E.M. mode. Again ....in a good way.
