i recently got this amp and i really like it a lot. the only thing is i am having trouble getting a good distortion sound out of it. i realize it's a "blues" amp and i probably won't get a heavy distortion sound out of it. any tips on how to get the heaviest distortion possible out of this amp? i have messed with the drive and all that. any tips on settings would be great!
thanks!

A few ways...
Volume - 12
Or, get an attenuator, which will allow you go go volume - 12 without murdering you ears,
Or, get a simple boost pedal. If you find a nice one, they'll boost the signal well without coloring the amps sound too much

Distortion pedal or overdrive pedal would be your way to go.
I hate to refer anybody to pedals (which I abhor..) but I play a Fender Blues Deville (same as your deluxe, but 4X10, 60 watts) and it gives some damn good natural tube driven blues overdrive, but doesn't "distort" like a Marshall etc. It's just not made to do that..

If you do want to try a pedal give the Digitech Hardwire SC-2 Valve Distortion a try, I am quite happy with mine.

Heaviest distortion or pushed-gain tone setting? I'm assuming you set the Master knob down low and the Volume knob high up? Playing through my friend's Blues Deluxe, there wasn't a tremendous amount of distortion. It was more of a pushed-gain tone. My 2ยข. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

Either get a distortion pedal or get another amp.

A gain or boost pedal would be the way to go.
