I have a 4001 that I picked up on e-bay and its trashed, I'm pretty disappointed. But, I've never seen a truss rod cover that looks like this one. Its clear plexi with the logo painted on the back. Also the screw holes aren't countersunk like my other ones.

I had to take a picture of the screw to get the camera to focus

The bridge has almost 1/4" of lift. Does anyone know about straitening it out causing:
1) cracking in the plating
2) weakening of the metal

I can fix the pocket under the bridge to match and keep it from pulling up again if I can straiten it out without damaging it. The screws holding it down were way too tight

TRC is the real deal.

Search for Gary Clauson's (Spelling?) 4003S/5 quasi-Blackstar to find an example of the most lifted tailpiece on the Forum ever and how he brought it back. Or email him directly.

Yes, the TRC is real, and early to mid 70's vintage.

I am looking for just such a TRC and have a more typical 70's example that is black with raised white letters if you are interested in a trade. PM me and we'll talk.
