Can anyone tell me how the D'Addario Chromes 12-52 set compares with the Ric 12-54 set in tension? The guitar is a Ric 325.
Thanks---
Bob

I'm not sure what the specs for the RIC strings are, but the D'Addario Chromes are:
GAU - TEN
.012 - 23.3
.016 - 23.3
.024 - 30.0
.032 - 27.9
.042 - 28.0
.052 - 22.7

The Daddario website list tensions for all their strings, as does the TI website, if you need to make comparisons.
I assume other brands may list their string tensions as well but I haven't looked.
Daddario also has a link to this site which may be of some help to the more technically inclined.

Here's a nifty general tension calculator, which does not take into account hardness of the strings, but still will be good for comparisons:

Many thanks to everyone for the input. I was hoping that perhaps Ric had published something for their strings. I did get a response on the Rickenbacker Forum from Mr. Hall and he said (PARAPHRASED) that he guessed that they probably were close in tension.
