So what did you all think of his performance? No one sings a 46 year old song at the Grammy's like our Paulie.

Great performance as always just didn't like the song selection. With SO many great songs how about something fresh and new?? Maybe a Beatle/Wings song he hasn't played live in awhile. I have seen him perform "I Saw Her Standing There" so much now if he never performs that one again it will be too soon for me. IMHO!

Much as I eschew conspicuous displays of nostalgia, I'm only human. I never tire of hearing that song. It's one, along with I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Loves You, that was the Beatles' hello to America, and for me it was the first kiss in a love affair that has never ended.

But the real treat (if that isn't enough) is seeing Dave Grohl, another special love. Unexpected, and I believe his playing makes this one of the best live versions ever. 8)

Paulie sure is keeping some good company these days.

I'm quite certain he chose this song becauuse his performance of this song had been nominated for a grammy.

He played that song because he was nominted for a live version of it at the Amoeba. Though, he could have also done, "That Was Me" for which he was also nominated for. I'm sure he was persuaded to do the Beatle song instead by the producers.
