Yes, that's her real name, and this zesty lady with the little-girl voice will be sorely missed around these parts. Her music is frequently played when the fireplace is lit and a glass of Dubonnet is in my hand. Until recently, she sang every night at a small club in NYC.
Rest in peace, Blossom.

Very sad indeed. I've always loved listening to her late at night when things aren't going so well and I have heaps on my mind. Very cathartic.........
RIP

Could there be a better combination than Blossom and Tom Jobim?
Well, only Astrud Gilberto ever did it better, and then only slightly...

"Tom" Jobim.... was that Antonio Carlos' nickname?
And yes, Astrud was incredible.
And having Stan Getz in you band never hurts either!

Yes, It's the name he's called, not only by his countrymen, but by many others. His given names are too much a mouthful; uncomfortable to say.
When Brasilians say his first and last names together ("Tom Jobim"), it is commonly slurred into "Toe Zhobim"...the "M" gets lost and the "J" is softened.
