Something struck me today as I'm listening to FMF.

It seems to me that I may enjoy TP's slow soft songs the best. Of course, I love rocking out with some TP tunes, but Alright For Now, Blue Sunday, they really cut through and give me that "oh" feeling, ya dig? Thoughts?

Tom Petty's lighter songs were:
Letting You Go
Insider (with Stevie Nicks)
Southern Accents (one of my personal favorite Tom Petty tracks)
Alright for Now
You and I Will Meet Again (another favorite)
King's Highway ("Playback" acoustic version)
Don't Fade On Me
Hard On Me
Angel Dream
Walls (Live, "Echo" Tour)
Blue Sunday
Square One (yet another personal favorite)

I heard Petty say that the record company didn't want to release Full Moon Fever because it was inconsistent with his image. They felt it wasn't Heartbreakers enough. How crazy was that?
