Water pump went today.
Because of the difficulty in getting at the pump ('01 PT Cruiser), and the fact that you gotta do the timing belt too, it's gonna cost me a little over a grand.
Grrrrrrrrrr

I thought they already had discontinued it...Wait, maybe it is Chrysler that's goin' to be discontinued.
Hey, sorry, Kenny, no one likes to pay for parts, or high priced parts and labor.

Man, Kenny---It must be the weather down here or something!!
It's just not the right week for water pumps...the same exact thing happened to me yesterday.
First my battery dies (and won't hold charge), then after replacing the battery, I notice it's pouring coolant out the bottom of the engine block.
Turns out my timing chain cover gasket broke, leading to changing out the gasket, oil seal, Water Pump, thermostat, Radiator and timing chain assy. !!
$1200 All for a vehicle I'm selling....good riddance, I will never buy a Ford again.
Right now I'm on no-wheels----I feel ya brother!
