Tom Petty Rickenbacker 1 of 186 Super RARE! act/ship on Ebay this week, this is my guitar that was stolen years ago! I found it on Ebay Tuesday night, low and behold in the next state over, I couldn't believe it, I was shaking! I thought for sure it was out west, overseas and long gone. I still had the COA in my possession and had been scanning Ebay, Craigslist and doing google and yahoo search's sometimes 3 to 4 times a day for years. I was being super obsessive, but I didn't care, I wasn't going to give up! I wasn't having much luck on the net, so my friend that works at a music store, suggested to post it on a guitar site dedicated to Rickenbackers, so I listed on the RickResource and the Rick Manufacturer's site within in the last two years, I figured I would at least put the word out about it, it's not too common of a guitar! It was great, because I had my posts describing what seller described in the Ebay Ad and kept the COA seperate from the guitar before it was missing! They finally went to house tonight and retrieved it! He didn't list the serial#, but they checked it and bingo! Please remove my guitar from the Stolen Rickenbacker Register, it is the 660/12 TP Jetglo #351 Serial # I45729 and on my guitar records please remove "S" in remarks! I'm going to sleep nicely tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so stoked for you, congrats on getting it back. I hope there wasn't too much legal heat involved in retrieving it. That's just another cool part about the social networking power of pages like this, and the exclusivity of Rickenbacker guitars.

Thanks for all the support and to answer one question from the post , the State Police retrieved the guitar last night! I'm just waiting to see who lifted it from me and I should be picking up the guitar from the barracks Tuesday or Wednesday hopefully! I still can't believe I found it!!
