I always thought a Military-Industrial Complex was associated with an inferiority complex... or is that an Oedipus complex?

It helps to spell the last word "résumés" (to differentiate it from a form of the verb "to resume").

Very interesting and sensible article. But I'm allergic to job applications; actually, I'm used to clients applying to me and I would start work on a handshake. I usually have had a modest site up for those who like to look but I kept it specific to the work. I haven't used the huge social networking sites, mostly because MySpace' puny servers; their bloated pages don't load properly on my computer. Better to use the more industry-specific networking sites, as the article recommends.
Reputation and good relations and communication skills are your best assets overall, so take care of your ethical Ps and Qs, be thoughtful in the way you communicate, and the rest will be good. And if you don't like the available jobs , go out and make one of your own!

You sure about that first accent, Professor? I alluz thought it was simply "resumé".

The good doctor is technically correct if you are writing the word in the French language. The English language more commonly makes use of the version that you posted Paul.
