Ric-habitat (My new coffee table)

I made a coffee table! Specifically for Rickenbackers... :D

Just sharing-----I rarely roll up my sleeves and make anything, so I'm pretty stoked on the outcome. Built as basically a standard flight case, except with plexi lid, faux "spun aluminum" sides, and "display" style interior, with less clutter than a protecting flight case.

haha, Wife Acceptance Factor?

My girlfriend knows what she's getting into. " Take it or leave it hon....you know how I am"

Thanks guys---it's not very furniture-like, but if made in quieter materials, it could almost make guitars look classy!

Watertight? I'd hate to think about coffee seepage from that cup you dad clumsily knocks over....

I'm already ahead a ya. Nothing a quick bead of silicone sealant caulking couldn't take care of on the corners. The plexi was supposedly 3/8" to fit in the aluminum extrustion, but it came slightly thick, and was a bear to fit in the aluminun, so right now I doubt an atom would slip past it. The corners could use the caulking for sure though.

ps...I'll also tell my old man to leave the coffee at his house!

Terrific job, Collin. It really holds the room together.

And you've got that '67 decor down pat, too.
