If you look to the far right of this video, you'll see a dot inlay Ric bass at times, maybe an RM1999:

The problem is, it was really tough to not watch Agnetha.

And, ah, I just stumbled in this video of course and am not outed as an Abba fan...

Yup, that's Rutger Gunnarsson on what does look like a 64 RM 1999 there. You can tell by the dark FG, and at 2.29 you get a good look at the thumbrest. The HS looks history already...

I AM the biggest ABBA fan here :) ....It's always on my CD rotation and Rutger is one very talented guy. Apart from playing bass, he arranged strings on several songs as well. Just listen to his opening phrasing on "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and you'll see just what a wonderfully melodic bass player he was.

Oh, and yes, Agnetha was simply gorgeous to any European teenager back in the mid 70's, and in that outfit there, well... :D

Abba! This is great! I've been feeling nostalgic and have been listening to them a lot lately--on my iPod with ear buds, since my husband and kids hate them, LOL! Cool to see a Ric bass in that video, who would have guessed? :D

BTW, I thought I was their biggest fan!

I'm especially loving this Abba song right now--although it is a breakup song it is filled with sweetness and hope, and is almost joyful in a bittersweet way. It is one of those songs that made Abba truly great.

Agreed, Andy! Rutger was a phenominal bass player. One of my favorites of all time and so much in the background. His licks on "Money, Money, Money" place him in the best of the bests. Bet he doesn't play it much now.

Bump!

Actually, I'm going to correct myself here, and say it's a 67, as the FG looks lighter than originally called, and we have the chrome top knobs.

Well, it is Sunday morning...

Does that make the pickup surround correct then?
