Family portrait!

Post by Ontario_RIC_fan »

Spent sometime last night mucking around with a digital camera... My apartment is really limited for space.

The better ones I used a flash with - but I prefer the images with no flash, even I had to photoshop them brighter...

a miniflood follows.. :-)

Nice family, Brian, even the fire sale special! :D

I agree that flash is difficult to use properly in lighting just about anything, really. I prefer hot lights or natural lighting so I can see what I get.

Three RICS starts to feel like a real collection... It has tied me once again with the most RICS I have ever owned..

I actually have 11 guitars in total.

1984' Ovation Custom Balladeer
1978 Ovation Balladeer 12 string
1977 Larivee Standard
early 70's Epiphone Wiltshire
60's No name Italian Vox Teardrop copy
1950's Framus "Queen" archtop
Suvuki Classical
1970's Hofner 500/1 bass

Plus the three RICs pictured above

The ones that are sadly gone that I miss are:

My first 1970's Yamaha Fg 50 "Folk Guitar"
a 1972 Ovation Tornado hollowbody in Nutmeg
A 1963 National Studio 66,
Glen Ried custom Octave Mandolin
and
an Early 1980's (small headstock) RIC JG 620

One day hopefully I will replace these! But hey I am doing really well in the guitar department at the moment... It is not like I really NEED another one... :o :o

Yup... Both them are 1980.

http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... ine%3Dtrue

I bought it last year on Ebay from California to replace this one (ex-Chris De Burgh) which died in the 1991 fire.

http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... ine%3Dtrue

There was another 1980 620/12 which came up about a year before on Ebay, but the seller wouldn't ship it out of the USA.

I really love the guitars of this era, and hate the differences on the modern ones. They just seem wrong to me somehow.. :P

But each to their own!
