Maybe it's just the neck plate that's custom made, and the J-bass is actually a made-in-China knock-off? ...... :mrgreen:

Yep. The SX sounds good, plays well, but I never dug the neck. Not quite Jazz, not quite Precision. The SX was fine tho', and I wouldn't have replaced it but I got such a great deal on the Fender.

It was "used" but still had the plastic on the pickguard, factory strings, and the case candy. Not a mark on it.

As you know The Beatles had two Fender Jazz Basses, a lefty and a righty. So I use mine on the songs they used theirs(that we play), such as:

Piggies
Yer Blues
Oh Darling
Sun King
Mean Mr. Mustard
Golden Slumbers
Carry That Weight

That's great. I was thinking that it had to be songs from '68 and '69. And John and George played some of those J Bass parts, no?
