Very, very good! A little of the spirit of Freddy Mercury in the breeze. Love the close encounters opening and the trumpet. Very exciting and fun music with a message too 8)

The lead singer's father was in The Tornados. Notice any similarities between this and "Telstar"? :)

well, I'llbedamned.....you're totally right. Especially the main riff.

Sidenote: What a cool video. I always like seeing shots from the stage view.....of 10,000 screaming jumping fans. That has to be such a trip, so cool..

CJ, if you like these guys, you should check out other modern art rockers too. Seems like a lot of my friends who like Muse also like Radiohead and Tool, both renowned modern prog/art rock groups. Oh yeah, Porcupine Tree too. There's a lot of stuff out today that isn't overwhelmingly popular in the media but still has a huge following and a lot of it is what I would consider King Crimson derived--all varying wildly from one group to the next. I'm glad you enjoy Muse, please keep exploring.

It turns out I've actually heard a couple of Muse's tunes, I recognized them from the samples for a couple of disks, I just didn't know who they were. Actually, I listen to a lot of modern/alternative/prog rock as well as the old classics. I'm pushing somewhere near 1000 CD's these days. Here where I live, we don't get much on the radio, nothing worth listening to anyway, we only get 3 stations, 1 country and 2 that play mostly teen pop, or whatever it's called. Mostly, I listen to various internet streams.

Anyway, it was great hearing some more of Muse, as I said, I'm getting a few of their CD's to add to the collection!

Saw them tonight at Giants Stadium in NJ. They were awesome. My son loves their new album. Looking forward to their headlining tour next year. We walked out before U2 went on. No time for them.

PS Bassist did pull out the Ric for a tune or two.

This is the one that put them on my radar. That opening bass riff is sick.
