Rarely do I hear praise for Gene Parsons yet his 6 or so songs with the Byrds are some of the most crisp country, Americana music out there take Willin' or Yesterdays train for example.

I would like to mention that it was Roger's sense of democracy in the later Byrds that allowed them to flourish as they did Cheers to Roger!there are few like him that hold his status in Rock and Roll history.

Also I see that The Byrds have finally got an official myspace page it has got 5D on there right now I recommend people check it out its well laid out.

Not by me. Gene's contribution to the Byrds was huge. Among many of his other compositions, the demo of "Yesterday's Train" from the expanded release of Untitled gives me chills. Maybe there'll be a bit of a reevaluation now that Kindling has finally been released on CD.
