Looks like Moe, Larry, and Curly are coming back big. I wonder who will play Moe :?

I'm a huge Three Stooges fan. It will be very difficult to win me over with new guys playing those roles.

Me too, Joey but I already love Jim Carrey and Sean Penn too. I'll definitely check it out next year. 8)

It's hard to beat the classics. But don't despair, they still come up with new ones from time to time. 8)

Uh...really?

Benicio Monserrate Rafael del Toro Sánchez (born February 19, 1967), better known as Benicio del Toro, is a Puerto Rican actor and film producer. His awards include the Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award and British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award. He is known for his roles as Fred Fenster in The Usual Suspects, Javier Rodríguez Rodríguez in Traffic, Jack 'Jackie Boy' Rafferty in Sin City, Dr Gonzo in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Franky Four Fingers in Snatch and most recently Che Guevara in Che. He is the third Puerto Rican to win an Academy Award.

The guy that Terry Gilliam picked to play Óscar Zeta Acosta, Hunter Thompson's attorney and the author of "The Brown Buffalo"? I would think he could be moved out of the "who the heck is..." column.

On the other hand...Jim Carrey's fine at bein' who he is...but unless he wants to gain 50 lbs. or so for the role, I just can't see it. What about this guy as Curly:

They're all too tall to be Stooges.

My crystal ball says that the new Stooges movie will be the BIGGEST BOMB since
gigli_poster.jpg
probably bigger.... maybe even

I dunno...I'm willing to give it a chance, mainly because of del Toro and Penn's involvement...those guys do pretty good work, and haven't signed on to any real bombs in their careers. Carrey, on the other hand...but he might do fine under the influence of the other two. The big question is: who's doing the writing? That's where the real potential for things going wrong lies...

As far as these boys being too tall...if Hollywood can make Stallone look tall, it can make these guys look short...

Yeah. Really. I don't go out to movies, I wait until they're on TV. Or else I go to the library where I can check 'em out for free. Free is very good. I like free. I've been saying all along that I'm a tightwadded, tight-fisted, cheapskate old Dutchman.

I'm with you, Jim. But Google, YouTube, and the 'net are still really cheap and good ways to catch up with the new artists, even if you can't afford to buy the tickets. Some of it is just tabloid but, ah, enquiring minds want to know ...
